Independent research projects

The institute also serves as a research center for several colleagues who carry out their research independently in the form of projects supported by external funding bodies.

The Department of Mathematics and Scientific Computing is home to a number of researchers who have secured funding for their independent research projects through organizations such as the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), and the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD).

These projects reflect a range of mathematical interests, from pure mathematics to interdisciplinary work that combines mathematical techniques with insights from other fields.
